Happy Sunday loves! It’s Super Bowl Sunday and here I am writing a blog post.. my team isn’t playing in the game so all I care about is the commercials. Am I the only one?
This weekend I had one of my good friends and old Disney roommate come into San Antonio and I took the liberty of showing her around. When thinking of places I wanted to take her, The Historic Pearl was one of the first on my list because it is such a gorgeous place.
I love the Pearl area because I feel like there is so much to do. There are many tasty restaurants/cafes, cute boutiques to shop at, bars, and a great outdoor area to socialize with friends. The Pearl is also dog friendly so you will see many pups strolling around, which is one of my favorite things to do! I am obsessed with dogs and hope to have one of my own soon.
The Pearl used to be a brewery up until 2001 and then was renovated to be what it is today! There are so many great photo opportunities at The Pearl with all the beautiful buildings, amazing architecture, and eateries. The Pearl is also right off the Riverwalk as well, the area by the Riverwalk is so gorgeous and romantic for a date or picnic.
My outfit of the day was overalls paired with a long sleeve white crop top from Forever 21 and heel booties. It rained a bit in the morning yesterday so it left the streets wet and a little chilly. This outfit was great because it kept me warm since I was fully covered and I didn’t have to wear a jacket over it. I love days where the weather doesn’t involve wearing a jacket! The overalls are from Agaci, I got them on sale for less than $10! You can find similar here and here if you like longer pants.
Caro and I walked around the Pearl and visited Hotel Emma (a gorgeous hotel right there in the area). As well as stopped at Bakery Lorraine and had a pastry and some lattes to fuel us up before going shopping at the mall
It was so nice to have the day off and be able to go explore San Antonio. We get so caught up with life that we forget to show love to the cities we live in. I love being a tourist in my own city and having days off to go explore and see what more my city has to offer. If you ever visit San Antonio, visiting The Historic Pearl is a must! They also have a farmers marker Saturday’s 9am-1pm and Sunday’s 10am-2pm rain or shine. Whether it’s just for a few hours or making a day of it, always go explore and have fun in the city you live in!
