20 Songs to Turn A Bad Day Around

Happy August everyone! Hope y’all are doing well, I am back once and for all lol (it’s been a long time coming)

Its the start of a new month and I hope for nothing but positive vibes, success, and new opportunities for everyone this month!

Lately, I have been going through a time of change and not really knowing what is the right path for me in life.  I don’t know about y’all, but I am a pretty positive and optimistic person most days, but like everyone, I sometimes struggle on always keeping that positive mindset. No matter how positive a person you are or how positive you try to be, bad days are inevitable. Every once in a while they happen, regardless if we plan to have one or not.

I’m here to tell you its okay. Whatever you’re going through, its okay because it will get better, maybe not at this exact moment, but eventually it will.

I feel like society has put this imaginary timeline in our minds of things that we NEED to achieve or this step by step list that we NEED to follow in order to have the absolute perfect life. However, your life is not a race and there is no exact timeline when things need to happen. Everything will happen and fall into place whenever it is intended to.

Whether you’re a recent college graduate and you’re worried about not having the perfect job lined up right after college, not being engaged or even being in a relationship when people the same age around you are getting engaged/ having families, you’re still living at your parents house when all your friends have already moved out of theirs, if you’re still in college when all your friends have already graduated, or if your going through a tough breakup or loss of a friendship. There are so many situations that happen out of our control or not as we plan, but the important thing is to enjoy your life and not be in a rush to make things happen. Not everybody’s story is the same and that’s what makes you unique.

When I’m having a bad day, I usually have a few songs that I listen to,  so I thought I would share them with y’all. Some of them are cliché but the words really do speak volumes. I usually put the playlist on shuffle and let the songs play on and once I’ve listened to the playlist entirely, I make sure my mood is changed and I am back to being my positive self again. I’m sure that I will add more songs to this playlist as time goes on but so far this is what I have, enjoy!

Another thing that I have found comfort in is buying plants such as succulents and cactus’s. All you have to do is show them love, water them often, and provide them sunlight. Its so amazing being able to watch them grow and flourish and it is kind of a beautiful metaphor of yourself and how you are growing and flourishing with these plants.

Remember:  its not a bad life, just a bad day.
Keep your head up and continue to keep living your life at your own pace, at the end of the day what matters is that you are happy and being the best person that you can be 🙂

Athelta Grand Opening

San Antonio!
Exciting news, we officially have an Athleta at The Shops at La Cantera!

For those of you who don’t know Athleta is in the same family as Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic but is a store aimed more for women and athletic wear. Their motto is “The Power of She.” I love this because they empower women to feel great and beautiful in the bodies their in and I must say Athleta clothing just make you feel amazing! Another great thing about this company is that they offer workout apparel that is made from organic cotton and recycled poly. They are really considerate of the world and environment and taking care of the planet. Me being a huge nature lover that I am, this is something that I loved about the company.

I was gifted a pair of black High Rise Chaturanga tights and I must say they are my favorite pair of workout pants ever! They are thick enough to where nothing shows if I bend over but I still have enough room to breath and be comfort for movement. I was given these leggins at the end of October and I swear I’ve worn them once a week since then. They are amazing and so comfortable and I definitely recommend them to all my friends and followers!

The morning of the grand opening party, Athleta held a yoga class outside of the store at 8am and it was the perfect way to start my day! After the yoga class was the official store opening ribbon cutting ceremony and then the store was officially up and rolling! Right away I was handed a swag bag full of goodies and was greeted by The Corner Bakery with yogurt parfaits and fruit, and Einstein Bagels coffee, both of which were delicious! I was able to take a quick walk through the beautiful hard wood store before I had to head to class in my amazing tights!

Later on, I came back to the store for the official grand opening party. There was aerial yoga going on thanks to Aeriel Yoga Boerne (@aerielyoggaboerne) and Arbonne International (@arbonne) and there was treats from Zoe’s Kitchen.

I’m so happy I was invited out to the grand opening and that I was able to learn more about Athleta as a brand. They  definitely earned a customer, I will definitely be shopping there again soon!
